Delivery, Warranty and Returns Information

UK mainland including Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight and Scottish Isles ONLY

Delivery charges:

UK mainland standard delivery charge £12 except order value of £100 and over will be sent out carriage paid. (Standard delivery only & excludes exchanges)

Deliveries to Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight and Scottish Isles standard delivery charge is £24 irrespective of order value.

Standard delivery will be between the hours of 9.00h and 17.00h Monday to Friday.

Special deliveries will carry a 100% surcharge on the above rates.




Delivery terms:

All deliveries have to be signed for. If you are unable to check the goods in front of the driver please endorse delivery receipt 'unchecked'. Failure to do so may affect any warranty claim.

In cases of obvious damage to outer packaging deliveries should be checked in front of the carrier.

Damaged goods or short delivery should be advised to us by email within 24 hours. Claims for damages or shortages made after this time will be refused.

Orders will only be despatched to the address registered to your card.

Lead time for your order will be confirmed by email on receipt of your order and will depend on stocks held with us and alternately with our suppliers.

Delivery lead times are indicative only and given in good faith.

The supplier accepts no liability for consequential loss resulting from early or late delivery.

Returns to us for whatever reason are at your own cost.

City Electrics is not liable for returned parcels in transit, in the event of loss or damage in the return process the sender is responsible for claims on the senders chosen carrier.

Delivery cost will only be refunded if it is clear that fault is ours. Cost of refund on returns will be limited to our standard delivery fees. (see above)




Returns for Exchange

City Electrics will exchange any item returned within 14 days in its original condition. Return authorisation is required prior to return.With out this we are unable to control the process and the return authorisation number ensures that both parties are able to trace the return and exchange.

Standard delivery charges will apply to all exchanges even if the item is above the free delivery threshold.

Refunds will only be made on factory faults or goods damaged in transit.




Returning products under warranty

Important note: City Electrics is not liable for returned parcels in transit, in the event of loss or damage in the return process the sender is responsible for claims on the senders chosen carrier.

If the goods supplied to you are damaged on delivery please notify City Electrics within 24 hours using our returns authorisation form on the website. Once we have your details and a brief reason for the return you will be given a returns authorisation number. Initially you will be responsible for returning the goods to City Electrics at your own cost. Your return will be inspected on receipt at City Electrics and providing the goods have been returned as required you may be refunded with the carriage costs incurred up to the value of our standard delivery charge.

Defect development under warranty. Please notify City Electrics within the warranty period using our returns authorisation form on the website. Initially you will be responsible for returning the goods to City Electrics at your own cost. Your return will be inspected on receipt at City Electrics and providing the goods have been returned as required you may be refunded with the carriage costs incurred up to the value of our standard delivery charge. Goods returned under warranty will undergo full inspection and testing. Once the fault is established and after brief consultation with manufacturer the product will be repaired or replaced and carriage refunded as appropriate. Goods found to be misused, installed incorrectly or fully functional will be returned once the customer has paid the carriage fee.

Bulbs (lamps) are not covered by warranty. If lamps are supplied with fittings they are often unbranded and supplied by the manufacturer as complimentary and separate from the fitting. Regrettably no further complimentary lamps will be issued.
